Our process

Why our transcripts hold up.

  1. Assess the audio

We listen to a sample before quoting so the price and date are realistic.

  2. Draft

Speech-recognition software and any platform transcript give us a fast first draft.

  3. Verify

A person listens to the full recording, corrects the text and confirms who is speaking.

  4. Format and review

Legal formatting is applied, then the transcript is proofread before delivery.

Questions
Is this an AI transcript?

We use software for the first draft. A person then listens to the full recording and corrects every line, so the transcript you receive is human-verified.

How long does it take?

It depends on the length and quality of the audio and how soon you need it. You get a firm delivery date with your quote. Long trials can be delivered in batches, in order, so you can start working before the whole matter is done.

Is this the court’s official transcript?

No. Our transcripts are prepared for counsel’s use, for example to prepare cross-examination, submissions or grounds of appeal. They are not the court’s Official Record. Where a court requires its own transcript, we can help you prepare in the meantime.

Can the transcript be used in court?

Whether a transcript can be filed or relied on is a matter for the court and counsel. Tell us how you plan to use it and we will prepare it in a suitable format.

How do I send a large recording?

Share a Zoom, Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox link. We can also collect files on a drive in Port of Spain.

Is my matter kept confidential?

Yes. Recordings are shared only with the people working on your job and deleted on request. We will sign your NDA. Read our confidentiality policy.

Do you work outside Trinidad and Tobago?

Yes. Transcription is done remotely, so we can work on matters anywhere in the region.
